How to descale and how to filter
A descaler and a filter tackle the same problem from two sides. DecalEco is used periodically: dilute it in the tank, let it work for about 15 minutes, then rinse the circuit thoroughly — the full eight-step instructions are on the product page. OSCAR60 works continuously: wet it with cold water, drop it straight into the machine's water tray, and it exchanges sodium ions for calcium and magnesium by osmosis. With very hard water it makes sense to use both.

There are two formats. The 250 ml concentrate bottle is the classic descaler for periodic maintenance of espresso machines and other household appliances. The OSCAR60 cartridge is an in-tank filter that, thanks to its silver resin, keeps the water drinkable for several days and lasts up to six months — ideal for a home or office coffee station.
